“Worth the investment”
When I first found Donna and Karen I was looking for peace of mind while I traveled knowing my two dogs were home safe, secure and happy. I had no idea that they would provide so much more.
My two big retrievers are a big part of our family and I am very, very particular who I could ever leave them with. I researched The Pet Sitting Pros and between the reviews, photographs and then eventually meeting them I was sold.
What I didn’t expect was that they would become like family to our dogs when they moved in to care for them. One night our old Labrador was fussing because he couldn’t get up the stairs to where they were sleeping so Donna decided to sleep downstairs on the couch to be close to him so he would settle.
They then communicated this with me and asked if they could switch sleeping rooms to our main floor to be closer to our old boy. Wow. They loved him as much as I do. Each day we would get videos and photographs of our two dogs interacting with them and ‘pupdates’ of their activities.
With Donna and Karen having home based jobs they were always around to keep our dogs company. Many other pet sitters have work outside the home and are away during the day but we couldn’t have that for our dogs.
We also received great photos of the walks each dog would have – because of the age difference they were walked separately. Our young active dog would go on long active hikes – we even got screenshots of routes they would take. How do you measure the comfort while away on vacation knowing your pets are happy and safe? I was totally relaxed while away and never worried about them.
When we got home after a beautiful and relaxed vacation our two pups were happy to see us but kept going to the window looking for Donna and Karen ( and Dewey) to come back. One of our dogs was actually sad for a couple of days!!! He was in withdrawal from all the 24/7 fun and attention he got from them and his new BFF Dewey.
Take it from me – if you want to go away on vacation in full relaxation mode knowing your pets are in good, safe and very capable hands The Pet Sitting Pros are worth the investment. Feel free to ask Donna or Karen for my contact info if you want to hear more.

These two were the perfect combo of wisdom and wiggles! The senior dog enjoyed his leisurely stroll before heading home to relax, while his younger retriever brother joined us (and Dewey!) for the rest of the adventure. Donna and Karen are simply the best! If I could give them 10 stars I would.
They were so attentive to the dog’s needs and Wyatt who is very shy was totally bonded to them. They were amazing communicators with daily pictures and videos of the three pups. They were so good at getting the three dogs out for walks even in cold weather! Their little dog Dewey quickly became part of the pack!
We came home to a spotless house, linens washed and most importantly super happy pups!
If you are lucky enough to get them to sit for you you will come back to a clean house with super happy pets.
It is nice to have a worry free holiday when you know your house and animals are in the best hands!

This playful kitten kept us all entertained, including our dog Dewey, who handled his curious energy like a true pro! At just 8 months old, he was full of bounce and bravely fascinated by Dewey, and it was such a joy to watch their sweet, respectful friendship grow.
We fell in love with these three
Donna and Karen did a wonderful job looking after our 2 cats and small dog. They gave excellent and consistent communication before, during and after the job. We got great pictures and videos of our pets while we were on our trip which was very reassuring.
When we arrived home our house was just as neat as we had left it and our pets were calm and happy.

Their small dog had a big reaction to her family leaving; she was heartbroken at first, and it showed. But after a day of gentle reassurance and calm presence, she came around and fully accepted us as her pack. Her two feline siblings balanced things out: one was a socialite, the other more reserved, and both enjoyed daily lounging on the catio.

Donna and Karen are the first pet sitters I have ever trusted my two Boxers with. And oh my goodness, I can not say enough wonderful things about these two ladies!
My fur faces were so incredibly well looked after, it was amazing. Especially since one of my dogs had a TPLO surgery 8 weeks prior to the petsit. Donna and Karen totally understood that he was unable to go on long walks and careful with stairs.
I got daily updates on how things were going back home.
This made it possible for me to enjoy my vacation knowing how well my boys were being cared for.
When we got home, our home was completely clean and vacuumed. It was such an unexpected surprise.
But the main thing is that you can tell how much Donna and Karen love animals, large and small.
I can vouch for my dogs that they can not wait to have their new friends come and stay with them again.

Pawrents First Time Leaving the Pups with a Sitter

One of these sweet Boxers was on the mend from ACL surgery, so we tailored walks and playtime to keep him comfy and calm. Despite the limits, both pups had a great time, and we’re already excited for the next visit, when they’ll both be ready to run wild and have even more fun!
“Bart’s new besties”
From the moment we met Donna, Karen, and Dewey, we knew we’d found the perfect peeps and pup to walk our dog while we were away. They were magnificent!
Everyday we received email messages, video clips, route maps and still shots of Bart showing Dewey – his new bestie – around his ‘hood. We’ve only been back 2 days, but each morning at Donna/Karen/Dewey time, he sits at the window, waiting for his new friends.
We wouldn’t hesitate to ask The Petsitting Pros back again. Their passion for 4-leggeds is evident in everything they do. They even left a hand-crafted welcome home card with a portrait of Bart – such a lovely touch!

Every day for 10 days, we arrived at Bart’s house to find him ready and waiting, tail wagging, for his hour-long walk. He and our dog, Dewey, strutted their stuff around the neighborhood marking every tree and bush in sight. Rain or shine, Bart was always eager for his walk. We made our way to the beach most days, where he loved the fresh air and the sounds of the waves. Bart was the best walking companion we could ask for!

Donna and Karen are truly expert pet sitters and wonderful humans! They looked after our girl Scarlett (13 year old lab-border collie cross) for a second time in May 2025 and we could not have been happier with the care and attention they provided.
A daily journal with photos and videos of their doggie activities kept us up to date on Scarlett as well as house activities. And they did a great job tending our garden during a wacky stretch of spring weather. We even got rave reviews from our neighbours about their kindness and thoughtfulness.

We absolutely loved watching this cat and dog pair during this 10-day stay! They entertained us with their playful interactions, keeping us engaged. Dewey, our dog, particularly enjoyed the cat’s playfulness and cat-titude.
We feel lucky too!
Donna and Karen were just a joy to have at our home. They were super tidy and respectful of our space. Organized in reaching out to confirm arrival dates and times and departure dates and time to ensure it lines up. The house was left extremely clean and tidy – you wouldn’t know they were there!
But most of all, them and Dewey took such awesome care of Gordie. he got beach walks and fetchings and trail walks and park plays. Him and Dewey settled in so great together and Gordie had parents to love him and cuddle him while we were away.
We got lovely video and photo updates to keep us in the loop! Anyone would be lucky to have Donna and Karen and Dewey look after their place and we would love them back as we feel so lucky to have found such wonderful humans!
